Best Places to Work – The Fool wins it again!

Best Places to Work 2012So often there are contests out there for the best places to work in the area, the best places to work in media, the best office environment, and so on.

They all have different requirements and ask for different specifications, like what perks companies offer, how the employees feel about working there, and if the company helps out its surrounding community.

This year, The Motley Fool was recognized yet again for being a Best Place to Work in the DC area by the Washington Business Journal. Rated 5th in our category (of what is considered large companies with more than 150 employees), we offer our employees amenities and services that allow them to better balance – or de-bunk – the work/life balance theory. We allow what most people consider the “life” portion of that balance into our “work” environment – with massages, chiropractor appointments, haircuts, happy hours, movie outings, etc., and also have employees that take “work” home with them into their “life”.

For us, it’s all just life. We think that if you work for 40 hours a week, or roughly 23% of a whole week’s time, then you should enjoy your time spent with coworkers and while you are in the office.

Take a look at the list of our benefits.

And if you just can’t get enough of this stuff, take a look at our Glassdoor profile based on anonymous employee feedback:
