Traffic jams, shopping budgets, and endless lines are just a few holiday stressors that can block feelings of gratitude. Over the last month, Fools were encouraged to track appreciation for at least one thing as part of a 15 Days of Thanks wellness challenge. This optional activity was launched to “encourage us all to give back just a little bit more.”
As the list grew, most Fools’ spirits lifted higher. One Fool commented, “This challenge reminds me of how much myself and others tend to concentrate too much on what’s wrong and what needs to be fixed while overlooking all the things that are great.”
Whether it’s a new episode of Westworld; beautiful red maple trees; cold decongestants; or a baby’s first word, finding thanks for the little things in life doesn’t have to be difficult. If anything, hopefully the symbolism of this challenge will ground Fools in gratitude long after Thanksgiving.
