Announcing The Motley Fool’s New CFO

The Motley Fool is excited to announce the appointment of Kerra McDonough to Chief Financial Officer. Prior to this role, Kerra served on the company’s finance team for over 18 years. She worked as Chief Performance Officer, and will continue to serve on The Motley Fool Board of Directors.

Kerra assumes CFO responsibilities from Ollen Douglass, who held the position for 17 years. Ollen moved to a newly-created role as Managing Partner of Motley Fool Ventures, a venture fund planned to launch later this year.

Both on and off the Finance team, Fools are excited to see Kerra step up her leadership role. Our co-founder and CEO Tom Gardner said: “As a board director, leader, and one of the most level-headed, experienced, and trusted Fools around, Kerra is as responsible as anyone for The Motley Fool’s success over our company’s 25-year history.”
